I had Year of the Dragon in one of my auditions as well. That really tricky non-stop 16th note stuff in G Major... That was quite a pain...
The scales surprises me. I had 3 Army auditions--one at West Point, one at DC, and also the "regular" Army audition. The regular audtion asked for scales. The two premier auditions did not. But, you should know them anyway.
I know that my sight reading ability jumped up a few notches once I became proficient in my scales... Everyone hates practicing them, but they really do help!
