Yes, on my double BBb/EEE double tuba with very good intonation I do a complete set of three octave fast triplet scales starting at Ab below the piano. On my Besson compensating EEb/BBb tuba I do the same with poorer intonation on the BBb side because combinations 13 and 123 are always sharp and 23 tends to be flat. I can also do that on a three valve instrument if its preferred open tones are good. However, it is harder to do and the results are not as good.
