As someone who sells these, I think I'll have to AGREE (surprise!) with you about everything you said.

However, the intonation on this instrument is better than just about any tuba of this size (and honestly about as good as Miraphone 186-188, two of the most in-tune CC tubas there are), and the Willson's willingness to easily offer focused, FFF low notes is unmatched.

I think I could get used to the "lack of feedback", though I didn't "get used to that" when I've borrowed one that I sold a few times...I just didn't have the instrument long enough, though. The only really "big" thing I've done with it (again, someone ELSE's tuba) is "Pictures". The instrument was very nice to me, and did exactly what I told it to do, even though I did have the sensation that you describe.
