Possible solutions:

-replace the rubber bumpers
-lubricate all balls/sockets/joints/springs on the linkages (I use teflon, available in a 'precision applicator' from Radio Shack)
-My Yamaha 661 has a screw adjustment on each linkage, just before the capstan. If the ball (attached to the capstan) isn't straight, the valve is noisy. Loosen the screw, straighten the ball, tighten the screw again.

Difficult to determine exactly the problem without seeing and hearing it. If it's a hard 'clunk', see suggestion one. A 'rattle' could be suggestion three.

If all else fails, you should still be under warranty...
