I bought my 186 5 valve CC Mirafone(or Miraphone) tuba in 1974 for approx. $1700.00(and no I wouldn't be willing to sell it for the same dollar amount, today). It plays quite well. The 186 is a very versatile horn. It has brought me the original investment many times over in paying gigs. I also have a Conn Eb, 3 valve(made in 1924) which cost me $600(used, obviously). I do not know what the model number is. Maybe someone can help me determine this.
