Mike Fischer uses his MW 2165 99% of the time in the Boise State University faculty Brass quintet and sounds great. He does own several other high quality smaller tubas. The other member of the group like him using the big horn.

This particular quintet has gone through 4 tubists in the past 6 years. First was Hal Taylor who was an amazingly technical player who played mostly on a small Eb tuba. Then it was me who played on a Conn 3J CC tuba. Later was Paul Evans who played on a biggish 5/4 CC (Kurath?). Now its Mike Fischer on his big ol' 2165. Each new player is bringing bigger tools....what's next?
