Hello,
I had the privledge of hearing the London Symphony Low Brass in a performance and masterclass today. These folks are wonderful human beings let alone the way they play. Wow! This was perhaps the most blended and balanced section I have ever heard in any instrument category. We could all learn alot from this. There were no heroes, there weren't any ear cupping moments where I am saying to myself, "I see the horn up, but I just don't hear it." Another plus, they played chamber music, Trombone quartets, vocal quartets and "in house" arrangements. It wasn't a "dude, check out our Ride, cause we rock." They did play exerpts, but even these were so refreshing. They are performing here in New York over the next few days. I encourage you to check them out. My hat is off to these gentlemen in the fullest extent. We even got to play for them as a section. Man was that fun. I love my school! Take care,
Arnold
