The HB-2 has a .750 bore and the HB-21 has a .770 bore. Also, the HB-21 has a straight-in leadpipe whereas the HB-2 wraps once before going into the valve casing. From what I understand, Hirsbrunner no longer makes the HB-2. I personally play the HB-21 and love it. However, the HB-2 is probably the most popular Hirsbrunner CC made! You never see a used one for sale. Some friends of mine that own the HB-2 say they like the intonation and feel of the HB-2 better than the HB-21. Of course, it all comes down to which one plays the best for YOU! Hope this helps.
