I'm not anti-military either. The latest Blattoblaster weapons systems help keep us a step ahead of the enemy and in turn helps keep our mothers from crying over a coffin.

Many schools and/or school systems waste money. On the other hand, quite a few don't have the money they need. Atlanta public schools get over $13,000 per student per year (the national average is just over $6,000) yet tend to be near the bottom in test scores every year. Wasted money. One local district here is moving beginning band from 5th grade to 6th grade... and in the news interview they even said that kids who are in music almost always have better test scores than non music kids.

Choices are being made folks. Most of them without our input. If you want your school to funnel more money to the music program, you need to get that parent group organized and vocal. The squeeky wheel gets the grease. Now, go get some grease!
