It was Chris McShane in Boston.He actually played with the Royal Phil in London for a number of years.Check out the Ashkenazy/RPO Shostakovich recordings - massive!!!(especially 3 & 12!!) Also I have John Barry - Moviola II which is also superb.
Whether this is CC or EEb I'm not sure but it's impressive !
Another example of what are the BSO doing - ??!!!
