Ok, I don't know what this 2145 is, but brand is quite important. The oven cleaner that Ben mentioned would be great on like a Conn or King. For a B&S, Nail Polish remover would do the trick. If you've got a Yamaha, you want to get this brand name Airplane stuff.

The point: even if you do it at home, talk to someone who knows what they're talking about. (I suggest the guys at the Redwing BIR shop)

Also a word of note, all of these things require a ventilated area. i.e. not your bathroom.
