The feeling of the air flow when playing this horn, almost feels like I have my hand covering my mouth and I am blowing as hard as I can leaving only a small little finger gap to let a little bit of air escape. I have tried several mouthpieces and it just has a woofy, stuffy sound-I feel it's pretty compact, pretty colorless and somewhat boring! The good thing is, I find all of the notes are easy to play in tune and with the same color throughout the different registers. I also agree that moving passages can easily lag behind because of fighting this back pressure issue. I really worry this horn could create some bad breathing habits due to backpressure I feel in my air column. Does anybody else notice this or is it just me?
