notes tend to play in tune when we buzz them in tune. Thats the most important part of it. Adjust slides as nescessary, to help find the center of pitch. Sometimes you have to teach yourself to blow certain notes low or high. G and low Db are some examples that alternate fingerings are not the best solutions. practice your long tones against a tuner, for a long time, focusing on the way your buzz feels when you blow it in tune...even though it might be a little off from the center of pitch. train your buzz to recognize that as the new center of pitch. hope this helps some.
