All that I can say about high register playing is that to do it requires as little tension as possible. The thing that most brass players can't grasp is that the great players can make things sound effortless because it is effortless (not completely, but they don't make an effort to force things and so forth). Most people just try to hard and completely alter their embouchure between registers or stop their airstream when they push a valve down.
The biggest hurtle will probably be putting this knowledge to practice. I have known the above facts for a long while and still haven't got it nailed down a hundred percent. I have only recently become aware of the proper approach of forming the new good habit as opposed to trying to fight the old bad one. Keep this in mind and your high register will be lovely with a little bit of practice.
