Cleveland has always been a unique orchestra. It seems to me that the tendency is that they get along much better with the public and among themselves than most orchestras do... they're obviously doing something right in order to be one of the top 5 orchestras in the country in a city under 500,000. It's also a major selling point for the city. Every time I'm there, I see the orchestra mentioned almost everywhere I go.
