I don't know if this is easy to explain, but it is fool proof. Though I don't have a 2145, I have 2155 and 2165...same thing happens and same solution works to clear the 3rd (and 4th) valve water collection.

Hold your valves down and pretend you are going to set the horn down on your left side as you sit in your chair. But instead of actually setting it down, rotate it a bit in twisting motion as you hold it with valves down. This will move the water from the bend down the slide and out the water key.

Those slides are awkward to pull in the matter suggested by others...try this move. If I can do it with my 2165, you can do it with your 2145! And spinning the horn is much too cumbersome.

If the turning motion is hard to figure out, just imagine where the water is sitting. Then imagine the turn of the horn you need to do to move it.

It might take a bit of practice, but it works great.
