Here's what I got from Gary (of course he said it was OK to print it here):

"My favorite of all the recordings I've done is the Gabrieli: Music for Brass
with Empire Brass Quintet. Canzone e Sonate XIX has a pedal "D" at the end
that seems to go on forever. I think that's the best pedal note I've ever
played. The remake of this recording should be out later this year. There
are several new pieces added to this recording. Of special note is the
incredible artistry of trombonist Norman Bolter and Jamie Somerville on
horn. They both have some juicy solos that are truly inspiring. I did an interesting recording with BSO members Rolf Smedvig, Pete Chapman,Ron Baron and Chuck Kavalovski twenty-some years ago. The music is forQuintet and four voices - Sine Qua Non SA 2030.
Some of my BSO recordings include Ozawa Mahler 9 & 10, 20th Century Bach,
Don Quixote, Ein Heldenleben, Zarathustra, Rite of Spring, Planets,
Gurrelieder and Die Walkure, Act 1. I'm also playing on the BSO recording of
Brahms 2 with Haitink.
The Boston Pops recordings include Gershwin, "Pops, By George", "Out of This
World", and Planets, all with John Williams.
Of all the Utah recordings I've done, my favorite is Brahms Academic
Festival (Pro Arte CDD 271) with Silverstein conducting."

There you go, straight from the horse's, er, mouth!
