As curious as we all are as to who the principal tubist will be for the Boston Symphony, lets please refrain from spreading unsubstantiated guesses or rumors. If you have facts which you can share we would all greatly appreciate it. If you read something on the mens room wall at Symphony Hall which was written in code 10 years ago by a prophet who took notes while on the phone with the Psychic Friends Network, then please don't spread the rumor.
Also do NOT attempt to degrade fellow musicians in this forum. You might have a bone to pick with someone who others adore and vice versa.
Hopefully, the best person for the job will wind up on top when it is all said and done. Remember these are people like you and me, so lets try to have some respect.
