Playing guitar is not good for your chops.

I'm so "anal" about my chops that my colleagues think I'm eccentric when they see me drink take-away coffee with a straw!

But just last week while participating in an impromptu jam (on guitar), I (in my slightly inebriated state) spun the guitar around (a spontaneous showy gesture) and managed to clobber myself square in the chops! So that's the first time I've not only had blood blisters on my fingers from part-time guitar, but a huge blood-blister-welt-ulcer as well, right where my rim goes!

Other common mishaps for me have been the tuba slipping off the front edge of my chair... usually not too serious, but it really has happened more times than it ought to have.

And in the street band, even my vice-like grip-of-steel around the leadpipe is sometimes not enough when in really crowded situations. I've even occasionally collided with fellow members of the street band when our (planned or unplanned) choreography gets the better of us.
