The Wenger tuba tamer is a big, heavy stand, that is fine as long as you use it in one place. Wenger also makes a "tuba rest" that bolts to the bottom of a chair. For something that is more easily transported both DEG and K&M make tuba rests that are a lot more compact. They are small, adjustable height, tripods, with a padded curved shelf on top on which you rest your tuba. Unlike the Wenger, they don't hold a tuba in one place, but are made to allow you to easily adjust the height of the horn and not rest it on your lap or chair. I have used the DEG and frankly prefer to just hold my tub on my lap. I understand that the K&M is a little sturdier than the DEG. Check the shops link on this site, most of them carry at least one of these brands. Here is a link describing the DEG rest.
