Gray,

You know that you would not be happy or fulfilled in any other line of work. Sure, some of your faculty cannot seem to "play well with others" but it will be that way where ever you end up. The Trombone?Clarinet thing is back on track and they will get the computer problems fixed soon enough. You have put in too much time towards the goals you love to chuck it all for just a job for money. I did not learn to play until after I got my degree, but now I can stand with any of those guys who were hotshots in undergrad. I love my teching job and feel that I am doing tremendous good for my students. Hang in there and do what R. Winston tells you and it will happen. When your students come to you with problems (playing or otherwise) you can use these experiences to help them and then you are part of this wonderful circle of music.
