My vision has been blurred by the instruments I found in the hunting process ending with my buying of my Conn 40K sousaphone.
I found a pattern of 0.656’ish bores in old US made BBb Helicons, as well as in more modern BBb German instruments. N the latter case combined with a very tight wrapping of the valve tubing.
