Are you sure Rich M used an Eb helicon? From the picture I saw once and from his spoken comments when I saw him play tuba once I am pretty sure it was a smallish BBb instrument. Listen to his low G's in the intro to "The Shiek of Araby". They don't sound like an Eb tuba to me. He was a Bb all the way guy, and was very reluctant to use a CC tuba even.
