Suggest to the in-laws that you will stay if they will form a similar sized group with a similar reputation and you as the tuba man. Lacking that, they have no leverage in any discussions, do they? How did such people raise such a wonderful daughter? I have always wondered about that with my wife. No parenting skills from her folks at all (a drunk and a psychotic) but a wonderful wife for 42 years who would go for your deal in a second, if I got it. God love 'em; I know I do.
