The "tu-bra" that Jim Self uses was designed and made by
William Beckman, who was (now retired) a Fr. Horn player in
the Army Field Band.
These tuba straps were lightweight and evenly divided the
weight of the tuba with both shoulders.
(personal note: mine was stolen from my gig bag
during a performance at Brucker Hall.)
