With all due respect, Andy, if the RVW is a bit out of his league (as it is mine) because of range, then the Gregson will be also. It isn't quite as technical as the third movement of the Vaughan Williams, but the range is still quite high. If I could do the Gregson on a BBb, then I'd be able to do the high stuff in the RVW also.

If you do the Frackenpohl Concertino, realize that the accompaniment is limited to five string parts rather than the whole orchestra. Also, the King engraving is poor quality, and even when I could see better in my younger years, I still had to copy out the part to be able to read it easily.
