La Boheme is more often (and arguably more correctly) performed with 4 trombones (rather than three + cimbasso/tuba).
The 4th trombone player may or may not use a lower pitch horn (e.g. F or Eb) while the others are playing tenors.
Most of the Puccini repertoire is performed this way...
Puccini's opera Manon Lescaut is the only exception I can think of right now (it is scored for tuba).
