Hi Todd.

I play the Rudy RMCC. I like it a bunch! I'll go along with Jay's comment about the "character" of the Rudy sound having more appeal than the Brunner. In all fairness, the Brunner that I'm most used to is the HB2P, which I like better than the HB21.

The Hirsbrunner is an excellent instrument that is *really* easy to play. The Rudy requires a bit more effort, especially in the low range, but it has the sound that comes closest to the tuba sound in my head.(Imagine a mix between an Alex and a Hirsbrunner) I'm not sure if this would be the horn that I'd own as my only CC if I were still trying to compete for an orchestral position, but in retrospect, I'm not sure if the 4/4 Hirsbrunner was that horn for me either.

If you have any more questions about this horn, fire away...I'd be happy to help in any way that I can!

All the best,
Dave Zerkel
