I would like to thank all the guys that answer holton questions on this post. After asking many questions about 6/4 tubas & Holtons and reading everything in the arcives, I bought a real nice Holton from Dave Fedderly. The instrument is a Rusk-cut CC barebrass with a large Hirsbrunner rotor added AFTER the main tuning slide. The bore steps-up in the 5th valve tubing and the intonation seems easy. The high range "above middle C" as I hoped, is great. The high G (3 valve) and the high Ab (5th valve) really sing. Dave Fedderly was great to deal with, as always. Now, I will be able to answer some "Holton questions". Thanks for the help, Tim Jackson
