Sounds like a true purist!
Most everyone will argue a CD sounds better than an LP but it is not true! At a high end exhibit at a CES show, we played both the LP and CD at the same time and there was a difference. Yes, the LP had an occassional pop but there was more depth to the sound. It blew the CD away but this was on a system that cost about 50k.
