HI all-
Finalists for Western are indeed Miller, Funderburk, and Kleinstuber. I did apply but wasn't invited to the finals. I had thought about a more reasonable commute. My teaching scheduleis currently as follows:
Mondays I teach at Eastern Michigan University where I have seven tuba students, some really fine players.
At Penn State University I teach every Tuesday night, Wednesdays and a half day on Thursday. I have the tubaa and euphoniums and faculty quintet as well as the tuba-euphonium ensemble--a great bunch of musicians there as well.
