The biggest advantage I think CCs have over BBbs is that more thought has gone into their
design. They somehow gained favor over BBbs, and so the best horns on the market today
are CCs. You could buy the best BBb and mid-range CC and they would probably be comporable.
Yet, the CC purchase would probably prove to be more wise in the long run; when you want
to get an AWESOME CC horn in the future, you'll be glad that you've spent so many years
previously getting familiar with CC.
But there is also some "prestige" factoring in the decision to go CC, I'm sure. When I made the
switch, even though I didn't become any better of a player that instant, I felt like I was finally on
the road to becoming a "legit" player. I hate that feeling; it makes it seem as if all BBb players
are not legit, which couldn't be further from the truth.. whatever...
