funny...Trumpeters always seem to like big bass-y tubas in quintets, and many of us tuba PLAYERS prefer a more clarion sound when performing in that genre...
...different perspectives (trumpeters and tuba-ers) obviously, and let's face it - a big "round" sound sort of sounds "in tune" even when it isn't...(perhaps one of the secrets of the C.S.O. York)...OK go ahead:
