I am really happy to announce that the Las Vegas Traditional Jazz Festival will have it's inaugural weekend June 1-3. The line up is a who's-who in the trad world. The festival will take place in the old part(read, hipper) part of town at the Femont Street Experience. I won't post all the bands here, if you want them, e-mail me and I will get them to you. If you are in one of the bands that is coming to town, give me a holler and we will have some sort of tuba/drinking/eating fest if there is enough interest. Being an opportunist, if anybody needs a tuba player while they are here, let me know. I have a double on bass and know most every tune out there. I can't help anyone with a horn. As far as I know, no one in town rents. I can, however, get you the numbers of a few music stores in town. If you a comin' to Sin City, give me a holler.
