Some who prefer pop rock might say the same of all of classical music. Bach's music has a purity to it which you might difficult to appreciate. It doesn't have the explosiveness of the Romantic composers or the dissonance of the 20th century.

Because so much music grew out of it, listening to and performing it just makes sense everytime. There is something "right" about it.

In a few years of constant exposure to various styles and genres of music, you might find yourself coming back to Bach and hearing something which can tie all music together.

Again, the word I associate with Bach is purity.
