Could someone please tell me when Baroque music has ever been classified under the "emotional" category? Isn't that why there's a Romantic period? Just a thought.

Also, if you've actually ever studied Bach's music, you'll find that he was an extraordinary composer, knowing exactly what he was doing with his music at all times. It's always starts out fairly simple, where little practice is needed. 3/4 of the way through the piece (I would almost add the word "always") lies the most complicated measure, or the measure with the most notes...and that's only one example of many.

Granted, I absolutely hate playing Bach's music on tuba (not because of difficulty...I just don't care for it on tuba), but he will remain as a respected composer (whether you can analyze his personality through his musical emotions or not) in my book. :)
