Not if you can't get it through the security gate. Remember, the people running the security checkpoint care not whether you make your flight. Even if you are minutes from departure, they will turn you right around and send you to the ticket counter. At the ticket counter, they'll tell you sorrowfully that your baggage will be on a later flight. Can you say "implacable?"
