I was unable to learn double-tonguing on the tuba itself. But I was able to learn it on the mouthpiece. You don't need so much pressure this way. And, when you get it down (you will) then do it on full instrument. Hope this helps. By the way, I still can't do the traditional triple-tongue: tu-tu-ku. But if I concentrate, the texhnique of double-tonguing will allow you to triple-tongue: tu-ku-tu, tu-ku-tu. Well, it works for me... Marc
