I don't know if its in your price range, but another car to consider is the Audi A4 wagon. I went car shopping this summer with my parents this summer and fell in love, if I ever get the money for a new car, this is on the short list for me. As a tuba player and a sailor, I need all the room I can get, but its still plenty sporty.
