The University of Michigan Euphonium/ Tuba Ensemble's last concert of the school year will be next Sunday at 3 pm on the UM campus.

This concert includes small groups playing John Steven's "Dances", the Presser "Serenade" for 3 tubas and an amazing quartet (no, I'm not in it) playing Bach's "Tocatta and Fugue".

The full group will be playing "Timbuktuba", "The Glory of Low Brass" and "My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose" to mention a few.

Two pieces of particular interest are Stevens' "Liberation of Sisyphus" with Prof. Fritz Kaenzig as the soloist and yours truly conducting (yikes), and the Symphonia arrangement of the Witches Sabbath movement from "Symphonie Fantastique."

This concert is shaping up well, and I hope anybody in the area with a free Sunday afternoon will think about coming to check it out.

Incentive: Come find me after the concert and WE BE DRINKING!!
