Jacob, wisecracks aside, if you're thinking of 3-valve baritones vs. 4-valve euphs (yes, I know there are 4 valve baritone horns!), there is the matter of the 4th valve. In general, you use 4 instead of any combination using 1+3, as well as being able to sound the notes between a low F and a pedal Bb. In other words, if you sound a low E-natural using 1+2+3 on a baritone, you'd use 2+4 on a 4-valve instrument. To sound the Eb below that, you'd use 1+4; for the D below that, 1+2+4 and so on.
