I have played both of these horns - albeit in short sessions - but almost back-to-back. The PT-15 is the clear winner in my opinion. The PT-15 cleans up all of the shortcomings of the PT-10. The low range is much more free-blowing and open. I admit I have the same approach to F tubas as Toby Hanks said he does - the first thing I do is play a C below the staff...if it sucks...move on.

The MW is to me, more of the old style German F. It has a wonderfully sweet sound, and plays great until you go below the staff and then the struggle starts. I haven't yet played the piston version of this horn (the 45SLP), but it is rumored to be about the best F out there today.
