I have a used 186 bell that I have been saving to replace someone's (?) destroyed one. It has a couple of tiny cracks, but has never been thinned by refinishing. It needs to be ironed out nicely with a Ferree's dent machine, but is very fixable. Maybe buying this one from me, fixing it a little, and sticking it on your horn would be less trouble than the horrid job you are considering. (?)
