f.w.i.w. in the last coupla weeks I developed a sticky 4th valve - piston. When I complained about my choice of valve oil in a lesson, my teacher told me that I was crazy and my horn had better valves than his Yama-F. I wasn't pushing the valve down straight.
As soon as he said that, and I started to be mindful of it, the stickiness went away.
As far as your rotor, the so-called "german windings" type springs are somewhat notorious for unpredictably (but fortunately only occasionally) losing their tension. Try some new carriage springs and see if that helps.
